Seattle Branch
AAUW helped support and sponsor several organizations we believe
contribute to our mission of education and equity for all women and
girls. GambiaHELP (Gambia Health,
Education Liason Project, started by Shelby Tarutis) exists to enable
communities in Gambia to protect, conserve and improve their own health,
the health of their community, and their natural environment. By
providing books, educational opportunities, seed money, and human
resources, GambiaHELP enables communities in Gambia to build a
sustainable economy and environment.

Middle School Robotics: We are
delighted to help sponsor the participation of girls in the 4H West
Seattle Robotics Club. This program introduces middle school youth
to principals of engineering and cultivates interest in math and science
through experiential learning. By mixing the club with boys and
girls, youths will develop important social skills and the confidence to
learn in a mixed group setting. We applaud their work and encourage
their progress. http://home.earthlink.net/~kloren89/
