Seattle Branch Programs 2009-2010

September 2009 - Alaska Yukon Exhibition.  Historian and storyteller Alan J. Stein presented the story of the AYP Expo for us, using anecdotes and period photographs to bring the fair alive.  AYP Curriculum project manager Patricia Filer added to our experience with a look at some Centennial
activities from the AYP curriculum. 

October 2009 - Dr. Andrea Trescot on Interventional Pain Treatments and Pain Management

November 2009-Lyanda Lyn Haupt author of "Crow Planet - Essential Wisdom from the Urban Wilderness"

December 2009-Scholars Dollars Silent Auction, and Performance by Live Wire, Women's Quartet

January 2010- The Two Koreas and the US-Current Issues with Prof. Clark Sorensen

February 2010- Reaching for the Stars Brunch and Pink Tea at the Museum of Flight with Bonnie Dunbar

March 2010--volunteered at the Expanding Your Horizons conference for middle school girls at Seattle University

April 2010 - Scholars Recognition Evening Dessert Reception with Barbara Sando

May 2010 - Why So Few?  Women in  Science, Technology,  Engineering and Math with Dixie Swenson

July 2010 - Kruckeberg Botanic Gardens Tour benefiting AAUW Funds
